Lorde, “Tennis Court”, Pure Heroine
Bio: “Tennis Court” is the fourth single off of Lorde’s debut album Pure Heroine. Joel Little co-wrote and produced the song, as he did for “Royales” for which he and Lorde won the Grammy Award for Song of The Year. Lorde wrote the entire chorus and melody of “Tennis Court” herself which, according to Little, showed writing growth for her. Lorde states that this song is about her first glimpse of fame and how superficial people in the music industry can be.
