Bio: Max left the University of Texas-Austin in 2012 to pursue music. The song “White Lies” expresses the feeling of paranoia one finds in a relationship and reflects that aching fear of betrayal.

Lana Del Rey – “West Coast”
Bio: That shaky appearance on SNL is a distant memory now. She played a sold out show at House of Blues tonight and this track is from her new album Ultraviolence which comes out in June. The album was produced by Dan Auerbach who is apparently producing everybody.

St. Paul & The Broken Bones – “Call Me”
Bio: The Paul in this band is lead vocalist Paul Janeway. Think Otis Redding meets Wilson Pickett meets any other great soul singer. They’re based out of Birmingham, Alabama and Ben Tanner from Alabama Shakes produced their album called Half The City.

Vampire Weekend – “Step”
Bio: “Step” is the new single off their CD Modern Vampires of the City. Rolling Stone named it the Best Album of 2013 and it won the Grammy for Best Alternative Album. Check out the cool lyric video.

The Strypes – “What A Shame”
Bio: 4 teens from Ireland who were raised right. Echoes of The Jam, The Buzzcocks and early Who pour out of this rocking track. Last month they caught their first big break in America by performing this song on The Late Show with David Letterman.
