SUMMARY:6TH ANNUAL DISTILLER’S SHOWCASE
DESCRIPTION:Featuring more than 130 tables of premium and ultra-premium spirits for sampling\, the Distiller’s Showcase will take place on Thursday\, November 1\, at the Manchester Downtown Hotel from 6 to 8:30 PM. The event provides the opportunity for guests to meet distillers from around the world\, while sampling food from New Hampshire’s top restaurants. Many of the spirits available for sampling and purchase during the Distiller’s Showcase are only available at NHLC’s 79 New Hampshire Liquor & Wine Outlets. In addition to a silent auction\, the Distiller’s Showcase guests will also have the chance to bid on multiple bottles of the extremely rare Pappy Van Winkle’s Family Reserve 23yr Kentucky straight bourbon. For the first time this year\, each table will feature a signature cocktail for guests to try\, in addition to spirit sampling. \nFor the first time\, the Distiller’s Showcase will take place in the Manchester Downtown Hotel’s expo center\, which will allow for a capacity crowd of 1\,500 guests. The expanded space will allow more restaurants to participate this year; thus far\, the still-growing list of restaurants includes more than 20 top Granite State eateries\, including The Common Man\, Campo Enoteca\, Republic Cafe\, and Fratellos. Further utilizing the expanded space\, the Distiller’s Showcase will also feature a variety of themed areas\, including a speakeasy section\, a barber shop area to promote men’s health\, and a New Hampshire-made products section\, that will feature New Hampshire-made spirits. \nSince 2013\, the Distiller’s Showcase has raised more than $345\,000 to support ARLNH\, which relies on funding from the event to support operating expenses. ARLNH supports more than 2\,200 animals and their owners each year\, with nearly three-quarters of its operating budget going to animal care and medical expenses. \nNHLC is encouraging guests to imbibe responsibly and will feature a Brown-Forman social responsibility area during the Distiller’s Showcase. The Radisson Hotel Manchester is offering a special “sip and stay” package and a safe ride home program from Grace Limousine during the Distiller’s Showcase.
