SUMMARY:The Wallflowers at Cary Memorial Hall
DESCRIPTION:The Wallflowers are coming to Massachusetts! Now\, you have an opportunity to witness the acclaimed act as they rock the Cary Memorial Hall in Lexington\, MA! \nDuring the mid- 90’s\, The Wallflowers found themselves at the forefront of the roots-rock revival. The band holds a special connection to one of the original inspirations: vocalist/songwriter/guitarist Jakob Dylan. Though he is the son the legendary Bob Dylan\, Jakob’s similarities to his father are occasional — in fact\, the Wallflowers are more influenced by Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers than original ’60s folk-rock\, though lyrically\, Jakob remains a close companion to the original Dylan. \nAfter a rocky-start\, Jakob Dylan and the Wallflowers found success in their second album\, produced by family friend T-Bone Burnett\, in 1996. The album spawned hits such as “6th Avenue Heartache\,” “Three Marlenas” and “One Headlight\,” the first winning the group a couple Grammy’s in the Rock category. \nSince then\, the band hasn’t stopped creating wonderful music for their fans\, and they have released several albums that further cement their place in rock history. It’s sure to be a great show\, so don’t miss out!
