Here’s the Latest Music Added to The River playlist:

  • Band of Horses – “Crutch”– Lead singer, Brian Bridwell talks about the inspiration behind saying “Crutch’ starts with something from my real life.
  • Elvis Costello, The Imposters – “The Magnificent Hurt”– Elvis Costello and The Imposters announced their upcoming new album, The Boy Named If, and released the first single, “Magnificent Hurt.” The Boy Named If marks Costello’s sixth release since October 2020, and will arrive in January, 2022.
  • Girl In Red  – “I’ll Call You Mine” – “I’ll Call You Mine,” is an impressionistic look at budding romance. “I’ll Call You Mine” slots neatly alongside the other early tracks off her debut, sharing the same jumpy guitar and drum line as “Serotonin” even as it veers into a more languid vibe than that early hit.
  • Måneskin – “Beggin'” – Måneskin, a darkly glammed-out and transcendently trashy hard rock quartet from Rome, have been ruling the internet this summer. For the past week, their version of the Four Seasons’ “Beggin’” — a cover Måneskin released four years ago — has been #1 on the global Spotify chart and a mainstay of the US top 10.
  • Spoon – “The Hardest Cut” – Lucifer on the Sofa, out February 11, 2022. “It’s the sound of classic rock as written by a guy who never did get Eric Clapton,” lead singer-songwriter Britt Daniel said in a statement.
