The River is a truly unique radio station, playing almost all of those classic artists that many of you listened to growing up – from the Beatles and Rolling Stones – to R.E.M., Bob Marley and John Hiatt –along with contemporary artists like Imagine Dragons, The Lumineers, Adele, and Coldplay, plus River Rising Stars like Delta Rae, Dawes, Gentlemen Hall, and GROUPLOVE.
The music we play is not necessarily the “Top 40” hits. We like to play songs that were extremely popular, but not necessarily the “#1” hit of the day. For example: the River might play “Wild Horses” by the Rolling Stones – instead of “Satisfaction”. By keeping the music fresh, and playing deeper tracks from popular artists and bands, the River creates a passionate connection with listeners.
Weekend programming is also fine-tuned to meet the desires of the listener. Specialty programming includes “Under the Covers,” “Acoustic Café,” “Brunch by the River,” and E-Town, providing the River’s listeners with a truly unique listening experience.
