Barry Goudreau’s Engine Room – featuring an opening set from Best Not Broken
With new music to play, Barry Goudreau’s Engine Room looks forward to a return to the stage! Guitarist Barry Goudreau, formerly of Boston brings a blues/rock ensemble including his former RTZ bandmates Brian Maes on lead vocals and keyboards, as well as Tim Archibald on bass. Both Maes and Archibald were members of Peter Wolf’s House Party Five, playing on two of his records and touring the world extensively. The band is rounded out with “Old” Tony DePietro on drums and Mary Beth Maes, Terri O’Soro and Joanie Cicatelli on background vocals. Expect some favorites like “Smokin” and “Long Time” in their live set, alongside songs from the new album “The Road”, as well as tracks from “Full Steam Ahead”, the 2017 release from Barry Goudreau’s Engine Room.
Opening the show are New England Music Award winners Best Not Broken!
The indie pop/rock band has performed with contemporary chart-topping artists like Jason Derulo and Matt Nathanson as well as legendary classic rockers like Pat Benatar, Little River Band, Gin Blossoms, and Jefferson Starship – proving it can charm audiences of many types. Their debut EP, “Somewhere Good”, produced by Boston music legend David Minehan, put them on the map in compelling fashion, and their follow-up EP, “Falling In”, also produced by Minehan, shows a band that continues to evolve even as it maintains its infectious hooks and grooves.
