Mixing a blend of soulful singer-songwriter repertoire with hints of jazz, classic rock, and jamband, the Sarah Blacker Band’s sound is familiar, compelling, and chill-evoking all in the same breath. Regularly compared to Joni Mitchell and Rickie Lee Jones, Blacker, who pens the majority of the trio’s repertoire and plays skillful rhythm guitar, ukulele, and lends her gorgeous lead vocals to the project, was named ‘Female Performer of the Year’ in the New England Music Awards and is also a Boston Music Award nominee, and a Board-Certified music therapist, and Master’s Level Mental Health Clinician.
